PresaleBot Privacy Policy

Effective September 14, 2026

PresaleBot is a private, single-store tool used by its eBay seller account holder to check the seller's own listings for compliance with eBay's presale policy. It is not offered as a public consumer service.

Information processed

The tool processes seller-owned listing information needed for its compliance checks, including item identifiers, titles, descriptions, listing status, handling time, and relevant dates. It also keeps limited audit results, correction records, timestamps, and operational error logs. The tool is not designed to collect buyer passwords, payment-card information, or unrelated buyer personal information.

How information is used

Information is used only to identify possible presale-policy problems, make seller-authorized corrections to eligible listings, verify those corrections, display monitoring status, and notify the seller about actions or errors.

Sharing and sale of information

PresaleBot does not sell personal information. Data is shared only with eBay as required to read or update the seller's listings and with the seller's configured notification provider when an operational alert is sent.

Storage, security, and retention

Credentials are stored as secrets and are not included in public source files. Audit information is retained only for operational, compliance, and appeal records and can be removed when it is no longer needed. Access is limited to the seller operating the application.

Account-deletion requests

The application receives and acknowledges eBay marketplace account-deletion notifications. Any associated personal information under the application's control is deleted unless retention is required by law. PresaleBot does not intentionally retain buyer profiles from these notifications.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the tool's data practices change. Privacy questions can be sent to the store operator through eBay Messages.
